Our story begins with a change in perspective. Oldenburg had a unique way of reproducing everyday objects at an exaggerated scale, giving the viewer a new outlook. The FAC mirrors Oldenburg's artistic philosophy, providing a new point of view to those who survive domestic violence. Our piece illustrates a common dilemma for victims of domestic violence. It exemplifies a fork in the road: do I stay here, or do I take the first step out? Oldenburg provided clarity in the form of exaggeration. The FAC provides clarity to help victims take the first step.
