Abusive situations are not stagnant, therefore, how can you create a chair epitomizing this struggle and have it be a static piece? Paralleling art, this chair rebels against the abuser's prison by implementing material that has the ability to transform its state of being. The past is never eradicated, but the victim is able to overcome the situation through discovering their own strengths. Thus embodying an abuse victim's struggle for freedom and search for independent identity.
